- On March 13th, at
the USATF East Regional Masters Championships in Landover, Maryland Masters
own Tyrone Brown,
M65, set a world record in the 60 meter hurdles. His 9.36 beats the 9.43 by
Sweden's Jan Soderson, set just last year and betters Emil Pawlik's American
mark of 9.57 set in 2006.
- On March 27th, at
the USATF National Indoor Masters Championships in Boston, Massachusetts,
Tyrone Brown,
M65, broke his own pending world record in the 60 meter hurdles. His 9.17
beats the 9.36 that he set two weeks earlier.
- On April 23rd, at
the prestigious Penn Relays,
Maryland Masters Men 50+ (Oscar Peyton, Thomas Jones, Clifton Quarrie, and
Karl Smith) struck Gold with a winning time of 45.53.
- On April 23rd, at
the prestigious Penn Relays,
Maryland Masters Men 40+ (Jeff Gold, Lonnie Hooker, Daniel Will, and
David Knight) won Silver medals with a time of 44.93.
